Title – District Executive
The ideal candidate will serve as the professional executive for the Scouting program in a district with accountability for the recruitment, orientation, training, and motivation of all volunteers required to effectively administer the Scouting programs for that district.
Responsibilities:
The District Executive is an entry-level position that has responsibilities that are broad and varied. Duties include promoting, supervising, and working through adult volunteers including parents and community leaders. Different aspects of the position include:
- Business Management
- Human Relations
- Sales
- Fundraising
- Marketing
- Public Relations
- Finance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- United States citizen or declared intention to become a citizen and eligible to be employed in the United States.
- People Oriented – have the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community & business leaders, and representatives of other organizations.
- Must be a self starter with a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
- Believe in the BSA and subscribe to its principles and standards.
- Ability to work varied hours when necessary to achieve positive objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Scout Executive
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Korean or Spanish. Knowledge of Korean or Latino/a cultures encouraged to apply.
- No Scouting experience necessary.
