RICHARD
J. OTERO, SR.
PRESIDENT, EZCERTIFY.COM
Mr.
Richard (Dick) J. Otero, Sr. serves as the President of EZCertify.com,
a business development software and services company, which he founded,
and served as the principal architect of it's feature product, EZCertify's
8(a)/SDB certification software.
Prior
to EZ, Mr. Otero started, operated for nineteen years, and successfully
sold off, his ownership in RJO Enterprises, Inc. one the country's
most successful 8(a), high-tech, information technology
and electronics concerns. Mr. Otero was recognized twice as the
national entrepreneur of the year, and his company was an INC. 500
Fast Growth company for five consecutive years.
Mr.
Otero also served as the Managing Director of the Government and
Commercial Systems Division of ARINC Research Corporation, where
he led in the growth of this multi-hundred million dollar company
in providing telecommunications, command and control and information
systems to its hundreds of clients on a worldwide basis.
Mr.
Otero was among the founders and Vice President of Research, Engineering
and Manufacturing for the National Scientific Laboratories, then
among the country's leading secure communications, tempest, and
electromagnetic compatibility services and product manufacturing
companies.
As
a small business and minority business community activist, Mr. Otero
was among the founders of the National Federation of 8(a) Companies,
and the National Coalition of Minority Business. He served as Chairman
of the Latin American Management Association, and President of the
Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of the
Board of Directors of the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce, and
is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maryland
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Mr.
Otero received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from
the New Jersey Institute
of Technology, where he was designated as a Distinguished Military
Graduate, and his Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering
from the George Washington University, Summa Cum Laude.
Currently,
Mr. Otero splits his time between his homes in Naples, Florida and
Haymarket, Virginia, where he lives with his wife Jeanneine, and
his cat Max. He is graced to have three children, Kathryn, Kristin
and Richard, Jr., three grandchildren, Michael, Jake and Nicolina
and even two great grandchildren.
Mr.
Otero is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the
Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
