LUIS DIAZ-COLORADO
EMERGING MARKETS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFICER

Luis A. Diaz-Colorado brings a unique blend of financial expertise and knowledge as well as true entrepreneurial spirit to the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He joined Sandy Spring Bank in 2007 as a Community Office manager in Rockville. His education and experience in both banking and small business is of great value to not only the MDHCC but several other organizations including the "Institute for Family Development AKA "Casa Familia", in which he held prominent positions. He was also the co-founder and Board Member of the Western Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and has also served on the board of directors of the Greater Washington Iberoamerican Chamber of Commerce.

Luis' expertise includes marketing, business development, media communications, financial management and strategic planning. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration focusing on International Business from George Washington University and an MBA in Finance from American University. He is a lifetime member of the National Hispanic MBA Association.

Luis co-owned a Venezuelan Restaurant in Frederick County call "Cafe Latino" which he and his family founded in 2003. Cafe Latino changed its format in 2007 and currently focuses on catering services offering authentic ethnic Latino dishes from a wide range of Latin American countries.
